Located on the beachfront in the heart of Palm Cove, Paradise on the Beach is a boutique resort offering well-appointed studios and suites. Set in a lush tropical environment of palms and giant Melaleuca trees, it is a true relaxation experience.

This guide contains information on services and facilities available within our resort, as well as local information on the Palm Cove and Tropical North Queensland area.

While you relax here at Paradise on the Beach, we suggest you take time to experience some of the local attractions, restaurants and world-class beaches.

CHECK IN

Check in time is from 2:00pm. Please see our reception open hours and if you will arrive outside these hours, please contact us to make arrangements prior to arrival.

CHECK OUT

Check out time is 10:00am. Please hand keys into reception when checking out.

Guests departing outside office hours are asked to leave their key inside the black key return box, located in the foyer, next to the Night Entrance.

KEYS

You will need to use your key to gain entry to the apartment, night entrance and car park.

PLEASE NOTE: If keys are lost, please contact Reception so that a replacement set can be arranged. A replacement cost per set of keys is $65 (incl GST).

CAR PARKING

We have LIMITED car parking available for guests free of charge which can be accessed from Caryota Close, off Williams Esplanade. Please note we do have a height restriction of 1.8m at the entry point into the car park.

Parking spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis and are not allocated per apartment or guaranteed. Additional free street parking may also be found along Williams Esplanade.

BREAKAGES

The registered occupier of the unit is liable for any breakages or damages done during their stay. Please report all breakages or damage to Reception immediately.

AIR CONDITIONING

The air conditioner has been set at the optimal temperature for efficient operation in our environment, 25 degrees and fast ceiling fans. This is the most efficient setting to reduce the humidity. If any lower than 22 degrees, the air conditioining unit may drip water. Please ensure all doors & windows are kept closed when the air conditioner is operating.

ANIMALS

Health Dept. regulations do not allow pets in holiday letting apartments.

CLEANING

Units are not serviced daily. However, if you are staying with us for 7 nights or more a service will be provided. Fresh towels and linens will be replaced during your service. Extra daily servicing can be requested within 24 hours notice between Monday to Friday, except for Public Holidays, for $65 per service.
PLEASE NOTE: Should your unit be left in an unacceptable condition on your departure, an additional cleaning fee may be charged.

CHILDREN

To ensure a pleasant holiday is had by all, we ask parents to SUPERVISE their children. Please ensure all signs are adhered to as any damage caused by children will become the parent’s expense. Persons found vandalizing or damaging resort property or equipment will be required to pay all restriction costs and asked to vacate the resort. Children to be escorted in the lift.

A starter pack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, toiletries, toilet paper, towels etc., is provided in each room for your convenience. Additional supplies can be purchased at reception.

ITEMS IN ROOM

All items in room (e.g. furniture, crockery and cutlery) are to remain in the rooms and not to be moved between other units if you have friends or family staying. Any items missing will incur a replacement charge.

OCCUPANCY

As per Queensland Fire Regulations:

• Studio Apartments – 2 persons (+1 infant / cot)
• Studio Plus – 4 adults max.
• Suite / One Bedroom Apartments – 2 adults + 2 children or 3 adults max
• Suite / Two Bedroom Apartments – 4 adults + 2 children or 5 adults max

This does not include infants and babies. This ruling will be strictly adhered to.

ROOM MAINTENANCE

Should any item in your apartment require attention, please contact Reception as soon as possible so that we may rectify any problems immediately.

RUBBISH / TRASH

Rubbish bins are located in the hallways of level 1 & 2 and the BBQ area. Bottles, cans and paper go into the yellow lidded bin at the rear end of the carpark. Please collapse cardboard boxes.
May we respectfully advsie that we are self-catering holiday accommdation and as such, you are responsible for maintaining the general tidiness and cleanliness of your apartment (unless daily servicing has been pre-arranged). Extra cleaning charges may be applied on departure if dishes are left.

SECURITY

Your apartment should be locked when unattended. Please do not allow unidentified persons into the resort – ask them to contact Reception for entry. The main entry door is locked outside of office hours so please remember your keys at all times.

SMOKING

The entire Resort has a non-smoking and no drugs policy; this includes your apartment, balconies and all common areas. Smoking is possible anywhere outside the property along Williams Esplanade. A fee of $250 applies for non-compliance; plus cleaning / odour removal fee as well as potential extra charges if the room becomes unavailable for arriving guests. Should the smoke detector be activated a fire brigade levy fee of $2,000 applies.

KITCHEN FACILITIES

All units are partially equipped with kitchen facilities including a mini bar fridge, microwave, toaster, and kettle. Please contact reception should any of the above items are faulty. Units that are equipped with stove tops – do not leave cooking unattended and ensure to always allow full ventilation by opening windows and doors when cooking. Fire Brigade Levy of $2,000 may apply should the fire alarm be activated.

To contact Reception, dial 9 from your in-room phone. Calls outside Reception hours will be diverted to night managers – please reserve calls during this time for emergency situations only.

TELEVISION

Local Channels are free to air on your television.
Netflix streaming services, available using your personal account.

VISITORS

Please register your guests with Reception upon their arrival.
Please ensure you have informed your visitors of your unit number if they wish to call you outside of office hours.

WASHING

To maintain the appearance standard of the resort to protect the paint, we would appreciate it if you would refrain from hanging towels and washing over the balconies. Please use clothes airer supplied.

 

RECEPTION HOURS

Reception is attended from:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
• Sunday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
• Public Holidays: 9:00am – 3:00pm

If you are departing outside office hours, please settle your account the day prior. We accept Mastercard and Visa. Cash and Cheques are not accepted. All transactions must be carried out during office hours. Management reserves the right to enter your apartment for cleaning, maintenance and inspection.

GUEST FACILITIES

Guests are welcome to use our on-site facilities during their stay. Our golden rule is ‘Courtesy’ – be considerate of others, treat facilities with respect and leave it as you found it.

BARBEQUES

Open 7am to 9pm daily.
The barbecue is located beside the pool area on the first floor. Please consider others and leave the area clean and tidy for the next guest.

CAR PARKING

LAUNDRY FACILITIES

Communal coin-operated laundry is located in the car park and is open 24/7. Detergent vending machine and laundry equipement uses $1 coins only. Please come to Reception during opening hours should you require change.

POOL & SPA

The pool area is on the first floor and is open from 7.00am – 9.00pm. Please wash off all sand before entering either the pool or spa. Please consider other guests when using this area.

• Children under the age of 14 are to be supervised at all times.
• Glass and food are not permitted around the pool and spa area.
• Pushing, running, jumping or rough play is prohibited in the pool and spa area.
• Swimming whilst intoxicated is not allowed.
• No surfboards or boogie boards allowed in the pool.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN OFFENDERS BEING RESTRICTED FROM THE POOL AREA.

Each room is fitted with its own modem and is plugged in behind the bedside table – please do not disconnect.

A fire evacuation plan is located on the back of your apartment door, please ensure you have familiarized yourself with the nearest fire exit. IN CASE OF FIRE – DO NOT USE LIFTS.

This property is fitted with an advanced fire protection system. In the case of a fire, please follow the procedures outlined below:

  • If the fire alarm or automatic evacuation system sounds, please make your way to the nearest fire exit.
  • Close the apartment door firmly behind you when all occupants of the apartment have vacated.
  • Leave all bags in your room.
  • Do not run. Do not use the elevators.
  • Do not telephone Reception as we may require the phone lines for Emergency calls.
  • Proceed to the assembly area at the front entrance of the building. Await further instruction from the Paradise on the Beach staff.
  • Do not re-enter the building unless you are advised to do so by the Fire Brigade or a Paradise on the Beach staff.

BEACH

Paradise On The Beach is located directly opposite a patrolled swimming beach, on Williams Esplanade.

These are regular bus services provided by Translink. Please ask reception for bus information.

Cinemas are located at Smithfield Shopping Centre Session times are available online at eventcinemas.com.au.
